​​​Coco Fellows Program: Empowering Future Leaders
The Coco Fellows Program offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students passionate about making a difference in the non-profit sector. This fellowship is designed to equip fellows with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to develop, execute, and manage impactful programs that benefit Black women and girls.

As a Coco Fellow, you will work alongside a dynamic and experienced team, contributing to the development of programs and initiatives that enhance the well-being of Black women. The program will provide you with in-depth experience in identifying and researching social issues, creating and evaluating programs, and fostering community partnerships that align with Coco’s mission. Each fellow will also have the opportunity to create a capstone project based on current opportunities within the organization.

Research and Program Development Focus

As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and experienced team to develop programs and initiatives that support the well-being of Black women. The fellowship explores the essential skills of identifying and researching social issues, developing targeted programs, and measuring program effectiveness to ensure long-term success.

You will have the chance to create a unique fellowship project based on current opportunities within the organization, allowing you to contribute to Coco’s impact directly. This role is designed for fellows passionate about advancing social change through thoughtful research, program development, and community building. Some evening work may be required as part of the fellowship.

Marketing and Communications Focus
For fellows interested in marketing and communications, Coco offers a unique learning experience in crafting effective messages and communication strategies that amplify our mission. This role is ideal for marketing and communication majors looking to gain real-world experience in connecting with stakeholders, managing social media, and building community through strategic outreach.

Successful applicants will:

be a womxn of the African Diaspora

complete a fellowship application

be in good standing

be enrolled in a US-based college or university as an undergraduate student.

display a financial need based on student FAFSA expected family contribution (EFC) and college's cost of attendance

Who are the scholarships for?
Undergraduate students. We do not currently offer graduate scholarships.

Final candidates will be contacted for a personal interview with the scholarship committee.

All applicants and finalists will be notified by email.
Can high school and community college students apply for scholarships?
At this time, the Coco scholarships are available for college students only.
